Burnham Grammar School
Brilliant day at Burnham Grammar School this afternoon - today I delivered assemblies to the sixth formers, years 12 & 13 on safe sex and contraception. We discussed the different contraception's, sti's and the three options we have when faced with pregnancy. The students showed great knowledge on being responsible and taking care of their sexual health.

Canbury School
Awesome day today at Canbury School - I delivered an assembly to year 10, speaking on healthy relationships, consent and misogyny.
We learnt about always gaining consent, to not be manipulated into doing anything we don't want to do and respecting others people's boundaries. We also delved into what a healthy vs unhealthy relationship looks like and finally ending with a discussion on misogyny and concluded that we all deserve to live in an equal society. |

City Heights Academy
Happy International Women's Day!
I had the absolute pleasure of speaking to the wonderful female students of City Heights Academy. I, alongside other spectacular women, delivered speeches of women empowerment. I spoke on being an entrepreneur, being a mum and running a business, what it is to fail and start again and the pros and cons of being self employed. I left the young girls with the message of sky's the limit and to not let anyone tell them no, just because they're a girl! I hope the girls left feeling motivated and empowered :) |

So good to be back at The Forest Academy, delivering a whole week of assemblies to all the year groups (year 8 - I'll see you in March!)
+ Monday - I spoke with Year 7 on Friendships, focusing on gossiping, true friendships and being kind to one another + Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - I spoke with Year 9, 10 & 11 on Consent, we had some really great discussions on what consent means, how dangerous sexual coercion is and how to spot the signs of it, knowing the law of age and sex and understanding the importance of respecting people's boundaries. |

First of the month and first school of 2024!
It's so lovely to be back at Bonus Pastor Catholic College today - this morning I delivered an assembly to year 10s, speaking on domestic abuse. The students shared with me their opinions on red and green flags in a relationship and we discussed what healthy vs unhealthy relationship looks like, we spoke on the complexities of leaving an abusive relationship, but adding that there's hope an light at the end of the tunnel. The students were respectful when listening to my story and were just simply a fantastic crowd. |

Last school of the year 2023!!
It is a privilege to be back at Heron Hall Academy - this morning I delivered an assembly to year 7 on friendships. We focused on starting year 7 and building new friends that are healthy friendships. We had great fun talking about true friends, what a fake friend looks like, their journey through school - keeping friends, loosing friends and finding new friends. My main takeaway points are to be your unique self and to surround yourself with good friends. |

4th + 11th December 2023 Saracens High School
Over the past four weeks I have facilitated a mother and daughter group over at Saracens High School. Working in collaboration with Be Lifted CIC - we have created a programme called 'difficult conversations', where we got both mums and daughters to ask each other and be open about some things they've always wanted to ask, but been to shy to address.
I got everyone to write down anonymous questions, directed to their daughters and mums and then we as a group answered them openly and honestly, as well as getting everyone to write down what they love and what can be improved in their relationships and an appreciation letter for both mums and daughters to read in their personal time. It was a fantastic four weeks and a great time spent together, bonding and building on mother, daughter relationships. We all learnt a lot !! |

We back an incredible day at Haberdashers Hatcham College today! We were back delivering workshops to year 7s on friendships - we had some fantastic conversations, debates and views on friendships, acquaintance's and bullying.

The Sydney Russell School
I had a wonderful two days at The Sydney Russell School - I delivered workshops to year 10, speaking on gender inequalities. We had some amazing discussions on what a man and woman look like in 2023, how society and social media put pressure on everyone to look a certain way, act accordingly and stereotypes that we may or may not agree with.
We also discussed gender roles; how they've changed over the years, the inequality of roles within society and home life and finally how we can challenge gender norms to make for a fairer community. We ended the sessions with a quiz with lots of winners and a good test to see their knowledge on everything we discussed. |

It's always a pleasure to be at Beal High School - This morning I delivered another assembly to year 13 speaking on domestic violence & relationships - focusing on ending the relationship.
We spoke on how to safely leave an abusive relationship, ending things with your partner, how to take rejection, identifying which personality type you are when it all ends and how to move on after heart break. We laughed, listened, discussed and reflected on the complexities of relationships. |

Always a pleasure being at Beal High School! This morning I delivered an assembly to the sixth formers, year 12, speaking on domestic violence and relationships. We focused heavily on separation in general - how to leave an abusive relationship safely and practically and how to leave a relationship in general.
We also discussed relationship issues, who are you in a break up situation, how to handle rejection and lastly ending with how to build your self esteem so high you wouldn't tolerate anything from anyone! |

Fantastic session at City Heights Academy! Today I delivered a session, alongside B.A.M, speaking to a select group of year 9 boys on a series B.A.M are delivering to their students called 'Womanhood'.
We had great discussions on society as it is now, gender norms, roles women and men play, as well as the boys asking me about my experiences of being a woman in 2023 London, my personal life and what I think being a man looks like. Really great open and honest session with mature questions, answers and opinions. |

The students, who were between years 7-9, interacted with me and gave their honest opinions when it comes to what a healthy relationship looks like, identifying red flags and discussing the topic of misogyny. |

My first session at a primary school! I had three sessions over at Bell Lane Primary School, working alongside Be Lifted CIC - delivering a series of workshops to a select group of girls in years 5 and 6, speaking on friendships.
We talked about healthy friendships, what they look like, how we can be a good friend to others, why bullying isn't nice and learning to put yourselves in other peoples shoes, being yourself and not needing to copy everyone else and ending with being kind to ourselves, our family, our friends, our pets and to just be kind human beings. We did a lovely activity where we got the students to write kind things about each other and the results were so heart warming. |

What a lovely day over at Haberdashers Hatcham College - Today me and the team delivered a series of workshops on the schools PSHE drop down day, we spoke with year 7 on friendships.
We had plenty of conversations about what a true friend looks like, how to discern between positive and negative people around us, going with our gut instinct on situations and trying to stick within your boundaries when it comes to peer pressure. We had activities, group work and activities and the students were absolutely fantastic with their engagement with us! |

Super great morning at Croxley Danes School - I delivered an assembly to year 9 on consent and misogyny. With consent, we discussed appropriate behaviour towards the people around us, how to respect boundaries and speaking up if your no was not listened to. The topic of misogyny brought u a lot of conversations and discussions, we the students were able to voice their opinion on the subject and we was able to express their views in a safe place.

The students were just amazing with their engagement with me and really respectful towards me. + Year 7 assembly was on friendships - we spoke about identifying true friends, not giving into peer pressure, being yourself and surrounding yourself with good people + Year 8 assembly was on healthy relationships - we discussed what being in a healthy relationship looks like, red and green flags in a relationship, having the strength to leave an abusive relationship and first loving yourself + Year 9 assembly was on consent and misogyny - we had a good talk on what consent means, respecting peoples boundaries, understanding that no means no and speaking up for yourself if your no wasn't listened to. We also spoke on misogyny, what that means, why it's so dangerous to have these misogynistic views, being aware of what we're watching online through social media, how it affects society and what we can do as a community to change society's norms |

Heston Community School
So good to be back at Heston Community School - Over two days we delivered workshops and assemblies on healthy relationships, misogyny, domestic violence, consent, friendships, to years 8 and 12.
+ On Wednesday I went into the school and delivered two workshops to year 12 speaking on healthy relationships and misogyny. We had some really great open discussions on toxic views, addressing hate crimes and understanding the law, challenging gender norms and how the next generation can be a more equal, fairer society. + On Thursday the lovely Eva facilitated online virtual workshops with year 8, speaking on friendships - what a true friend looks like, asking who am I and not falling into peer pressure. Domestic violence - knowing the sings of DV, understanding the tricks the perpetrator does to try make you stay and what a healthy relationship should look like and lastly consent - discussing what is okay and not okay when it comes to sex, understanding the law and respecting other peoples boundaries. The students interacted really well, great engagement with their form tutors and were full of questions |

Always a pleasure to be at Islington Arts and Media School - Over the past few days I delivered a series of assemblies speaking on Misogyny.
I spoke with Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 discussing the current climate of how society is towards women and girls, the law on hate crime, challenging gender role norms, being aware of what we are watching online via social media and how it can influence our minds and our way of thinking and how we can address our friends if they display toxic views on certain types of people. The students were simply fab with all their engagement with me, they asked some really important questions and quizzed me on my own opinions and gave me theirs. |

I had the absolute pleasure to speak to Year 3 & 4 at Duncombe Primary School. I spoke about my job, what I do, why I do it, the impact my message has on young people and why working for yourself is kool!
We spoke on what a good friend looks like and I was so happy to hear all the positive things they were saying about their mates. The students were bursting with questions and eyes full of hope and inspiration. When asked what job they want to do when they're older, they ranged from doctor, vet, restaurant owner, football, social worker, crisis helper and care for people in need - How amazing :) What made it even more special was seeing my youngest daughter smile back at me like 'yeah that's my mum' |

We discussed what consent means, why we ask and the importance of listening and respecting people's bodies and boundaries. We also spoke on the different types of contraception, how to practice safe sex and why it's important to be safe. The students were just great with their engagement with me, asking a lot of questions, giving me their opinion on certain scenarios and listening attentively. |

I spoke on healthy relationships with our friends and partners - we had great sessions with a lot of interaction from the students, giving me their honest opinions and comments on the topic. + Monday - I spoke with year 7 on friendships; we discussed being true to yourself, real vs fake friends and understanding that good friends are important to have around you. + Tuesday - I spoke with year 8 on friendships; we talked about being your true authentic self, surrounding yourself with good people, being kind in the group chats and not letting the /banter/ go too far. + Wednesday - I spoke with year 9 on healthy relationships with our partners; we went through different red and green flags and I got to hear what their opinion was on them, as well as looking at what a loving, healthy relationship should look like. + Friday - I spoke with year 11 on healthy relationships with partners and friends; we discussed healthy vs unhealthy relationships, to walk away from people who are a walking red flag! We ended it with the message that friends are far more important, so make sure we have good ones by your side. |

The Assembly was absolutely smashing - it was educational, informative, fun and interactive. The students asked some really good questions, gave important comments on their opinions and showed a good understanding on the topics discussed. |

We had many open discussions around pregnancy, when's the right time to have a baby, your options if you found yourself pregnant - abortion, adoption and keeping the baby, boys vs girl perspective, understanding the importance of choosing the right life partner for you to have a child with and the main take away of the day - take your time, enjoy your younger years and wait until you decide to start a family. |

We discussed how to best avoid being in an abusive relationship, by noticing red flags (or as we now like to call them Neon Red Flags!) building your self esteem so you know and understand that you are deserving of being in a happy, respectful relationship. We ended it by acknowledging that we can't help who may enter our lives with ill intention, but we can control how we react and that is by having the strength to leave. On teenage pregnancy we spoke about the importance of waiting to have a baby, choosing the right life partner as well as sharing my story of being a teen mum myself, with the highs and lows of being a young parent. |

We spoke about the affect's porn has within our relationships with our partners, how too much can be addictive and damaging to our mental well-being, knowing to be mindful about what we are feeding our mind and being aware of the type of stuff we are watching. We also delved into how porn can have a negative outlook on a really bad misrepresentation on what a normal body looks like, how sex in real life happens and the importance of separating fantasy from reality. |

Second time this week being at Beal High School. Today I spoke with Year 13 on Healthy Relationships, Domestic Violence and Safe Sex. There was a lot to unpack and the assembly was fantastic with a lot of interactions from the students.
We discussed what a healthy vs unhealthy relationship looks like with the understanding that we are all deserving of being in a happy, loving, caring partnership. I covered Domestic Violence, discussing the warning signs of domestic abuse, sharing my story - bringing hope into the room. I ended the session speaking on the importance of practicing safe sex - going over the different types of contraception and the law around sex. The students displayed a good knowledge of contraception, law on sex and to not share nude photos around. |

Last school of the school year!!
This morning I delivered an assembly to Year 9 on Healthy Relationships. We spoke about what a healthy relationship looks like as well as an unhealthy relationship, covered red flags and what they look like in relationships, our friendships and what good, true, genuine friends look like and how we can be good friends also. We looked in peer pressure and why we shouldn't just go along with the crowd, instead, stand out, be yourself and follow your own path in life. |

We discussed the different types of abuse in relationships, the warning signs of domestic violence and the hope that you can leave an abusive relationship. We also covered consent, talking about what is appropriate in real life scenarios, why it's important to respect peoples decisions and why we shouldn't try to manipulate others into saying yes. |

Was incredible to be back at Norbury School today - this morning I delivered an extended assembly to Year 9s on Consent. We discussed all things around what does consent mean, is it okay to do certain things, the importance of gaining permission, understanding and respecting other peoples no and boundaries.
We spoke on being confident to speak up for yourself if you are not listened to, knowing that you can seek justice for yourself and have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The students were simply fab with their responses and their point of view on the subject. |

It's always a pleasure to be at Haverstock School! Today I delivered an extended assembly to Year 7 on Healthy Relationships - speaking on friendships, not giving into peer pressure, standing out and being yourself, banter in whatsapp groups and how harmful jokes can be and where to draw the line.
We discussed having good people around us and how you can also be a great friend to others too. All the students participated so well and gave some really mature answers, questions and their point of view. |

What an incredible day at Stourport High School - In the morning we delivered a workshop to students ranging from Year 7-10, speaking about Healthy Relationships and Domestic Violence - The students participated really well, they had a great understanding on true friendships, red and green flags in a relationships, what an abusive relationship looks like and the importance of loving yourself first.
In the afternoon we had the pleasure of participating in the schools market place, where we set up a stall showcasing all things that JAYA represents - allowing the students to write what they think a healthy relationship looks like, red flags in a relationship and lastly, getting each student to write something nice about themselves in the 'I Am' section. |

Today the lovely Chantelle delivered a workshop on contraception to Year 8s - she spoke about the different types of contraception's you can use, the importance of safe sex, not feeling forced to do anything you don't want to do. She also spoke about the 3 options - Keep the baby, adoption and abortion - outlining the pros and cons to each, the facts of each one and why people make certain decisions.
The students were full of questions and learnt a great deal. |

- Monday Year 11 We spoke on healthy relationships with partners, what are some red flags in a relationships, understanding what consent means and exercising our right to say no - Tuesday Year 10 Speaking on healthy relationships with partners, what does a healthy vs unhealthy relationship look like, how can you spot the signs of an abusive relationship and know that we deserve to be in a positive happy relationship. As well as discussing consent, what does it mean, how we can read others body language when they say yes vs no and respecting other peoples no. - Wednesday Year 9 Discussing healthy relationships with partners and friends. What does a healthy friendship look like, how can I be a good friend to others, also understanding the law about sex, nudes and revenge porn. We spoke on consent and understanding that it must be freely and enthusiastically given and we can say no at any time. - Thursday Year 8 Speaking on healthy relationships with friends, why having good friends around us is good for us, just being yourself and not giving into peer pressure by just following the crowd to fit in. Touching on consent and discussing what is okay and not okay in every day situations. - Friday Year 7 Spoke about healthy relationships with friends and what a true friend looks like, friends vs acquaintances and why it's important to simply be yourself. A fantastic day at Stratford School Academy - our team delivered whole day workshops to the students.
Year 10 had workshops on Healthy Relationships - discussing friendships, what qualities does a good friend posses, boyfriends/girlfriends, what a healthy relationship looks like, what are our boundaries and a good timeline in relationships. Year 11 had workshops on Consent - they had great discussions on what is appropriate behaviour, how to handle rejection, having the confidence to say no and speaking up if you have been assaulted. I had the absolute pleasure of delivering two online virtual sessions to Year 8 and 9 at Heston Community School.
I spoke with the students on topics including Healthy Relationships, Peer Pressure, Consent, Law on Sex and Domestic Violence. We had a fantastic few days with us communicating through the chat box with open discussions, comments and what they would do in certain scenarios - even though I wasn't there in person, I still felt that I gained a good understanding of the students knowledge on the above topics. The teachers were great in managing the classroom and assisting the students with the activities during the workshops. |

Our take away message was for them to choose positive relationships with friends and partners. All the students participated really well, they asked mature questions and listened exceptionally well. |

Was wonderful to be back at Mill Hill County High School! Today we delivered workshops on the schools PSHE drop down day - speaking to Year 9s on Teenage Pregnancy.
We explained in great detail the reality of parenthood, why prevention is better than cure, breaking stereotypes and the options they have if they become pregnant; abortion, adoption and keeping the baby and the life long implications of each decision. I shared my own story of being a teen mum, outlining the highs and lows of my journey. There were great discussions and anonymous questions! |

Haberdashers' Aske's Knights Academy
Fantastic to be back at Haberdashers' Aske's Knights Academy! This morning I delivered an assembly, speaking to Year 10 on Safe Sex, Contraception and Teenage Pregnancy.
I went through different types of STI's, their symptoms and advice on how to get themselves checked out at the sexual health clinic. We discussed how to prevent STI's and unwanted pregnancies, with the various types of contraception. I then shared my own personal story of being a teen mum and how having children young doesn't ruin your life, but can slow it down. We ended the assembly with the take away note of taking care of our body and taking your time with sex and life. |

Great afternoon at Knights Academy - Today I delivered three assemblies to Years 7,8 & 9, speaking on Harmful Sexual Behaviour.
We discussed the type of words that can be seen as harmful and hurtful to people around us and why it's important to choose our words carefully. We also discussed porn and why it can be damaging to watch at a young age. We had lively discussions about scenarios that may happen in real life and what they would do. Today I had the absolute pleasure working alongside SOS Global, by delivering two live assemblies to Year 6s - We started with a 30min video, followed by live Q&A and activity sheets - I spoke on Healthy Relationships, moving onto secondary school and how friendships progress, friendship loses, peer pressure and what a true friend looks like.

+ Tuesdays Assembly was delivered to Year 10s, speaking about Teenage Pregnancy - I shared my personal story about the joys & struggles of being teen parent. + Wednesdays Assembly was delivered to Year 9s, speaking on Consent and Safe Sex - We had a very lively discussion!! Surrounding what a boy does when he is rejected and how to move on. + Thursdays Assembly was delivered to Year 8s, speaking on Healthy Relationships with friends and partners - Discussing the importance of friendships groups and how to not feel pressurised to do things they are not comfortable doing. + Fridays Assembly was delivered to Year 7s, speaking on Healthy Relationships and Peer Pressure - We spoke about being yourself, not going along with the crowd and finding good, positive friends. |

WOW!! The day came and what an absolutely fantastic day it was!
We had some amazing guest speakers who gave excellent advice and guidance on how to become a successful entrepreneur.
We also had budding entrepreneurs who was selling their products on the day.
The guests were filled with knowledge, inspiration and motivation to go forth and start their new venture!

AJ works closely with UK Parliament, Birkbeck University, Holy Trinity Clapham, University of London and Changing Mindsets.
AJ spoke about how you have the power to make your business idea a reality, about the hard graft you have to put in, how only you have the drive and determination to make your business a success or failure and to finally JUST DO IT! What are you waiting for? Planning is key but don’t let that slip into procrastination, just have the boldness to go for it.

Nicholas has been working abroad for the last 6yrs in recruitment and has found the confidence to branch out and start up his own company on his own this year. He is a success story, as being only 27yrs old and has not only broken even but made a profit on his company in the first year. Nicholas spoke about how to stand out from the crowd, make a business work abroad and that it is actually possible to be so young and make a company work to this grand scale.
