The reason why I go into schools and speak with young people about these important life lessons, is because I myself have been in an abusive relationship when I was a teenager and in my early twenties, while being a mother to three young children. I know that you can be in a serious, troublesome relationships and situations as a young person; So I talk with young people, to educate them on warning signs of an abusive relationship, so they don't end up in the same situation as I was in. I work with breaking the stereotypes of teen parents, speaking with young people on the importance of waiting to start a family, choosing the right life partner, what it's like to raise children and the reality of being a young parent. As well on being kind to the marginalised in society. |
Just As You Are attends Schools and deliver assemblies and workshops to Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and Sixth Form.
Workshops are usually delivered on schools PSHE drop down days; whole day, in class sessions to all students in the year group. Assemblies are presented in schools to the whole year group, on a topic chosen by the school. Just As You Are teach with a very interactive style, we love open, honest discussions with the students. We welcome difficult questions and the students leave feeling empowered! |
We at Just As You Are attend Secondary Schools, Pupil Referral Units, Youth Centres and more.
